#51491 - Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Large Size) Bubbleback With Black Dial Year: 1951 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Lovely condition, large size Oyster Perpetual bubbleback in 18ct/SS with gold 'index' bezel and black dial. This is a very rare and collectable vintage Rolex as it was the fore-runner to all the DateJust models. Case Stainless steel case is in excellent condition with 18ct yellow gold 'Index' bezel and matching 18ct screw-down 'Twinlock' winding crown. Despite its vintage, this model 6075 Oyster Perpetual has a 'no pin holes' case. Case back is also in excellent condition with no signs of incorrect tool use or marks/scratches of any kind - beautiful! Case serial no: 698xxx. Case dimensions are 36mm (not including crown - 47.5mm including), 9.5mm thick and 44mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal The black, re-finished dial is perfect and 'like new' with date window at 3 o' clock. The date wheel has red numbers throughout. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, Officially Certified Chronometer' with 'Swiss' at 6 o'clock. The crystal is 'as new' with no chips, scratches or marks - this model Rolex pre-dates the use of a cyclops/magnifier for the date. Bracelet/Strap High quality, Hirsch 'Genuine Alligator' strap finished in black with complementing gold-filled buckle. We are also Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range, or 'artisanal' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost).
