I’m new to this. Can you give me help & advice?
We understand that not everyone is an expert in this field and we are here to help. Don’t worry if this is your first watch purchase we all started somewhere. Please email us with your thoughts or ideas and we can go from there. We can advise you on buying a watch for daily use, as a gift, for anniversaries, weddings or christenings, finding that special watch for a discerning collector, watches for investment etc. As our inventory is changing all the time, if you don’t see a particular watch you’re looking for please ask as we may have something in stock. Failing that we would be more than happy to try and locate that “special watch” for you.
Can you find a particular kind/model/make of watch for me?
This is one area we specialise in. Over the years we have developed relationships with many watch dealers throughout the world and as such, can draw upon huge resources in finding particular makes, grades, models of watches or even parts. Please email us with your “wish list” and we will do our up most to fulfil it.
Can I request more information or additional pictures?
Of course, we are more than happy to supply any additional information & pictures of specifics if the watch is still available. Please mention exactly what you would like when enquiring about the watch and we will endeavour to reply as quickly as possible.
How do I order?
Once you’ve decided which watch or item you would like simply send us an email using the link on the items description page to make sure it’s still available.
If you would like to see the watch or item before you buy then please mention this in your email and we will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. Please include your full name, location and a contact phone number in your request.
Can I pay via credit card?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. You can also pay via cash, personal or business cheque, money orders or direct bank transfer. Please mention how you would like to pay when you enquire about the watch or accessory.
How much does shipping cost?
The shipping charges for individual items should be listed on that items description page. Multiple orders that are shipping to the same address will be packaged together thus reducing shipping costs. We would then contact you detailing the total shipping cost with your order confirmation. We try hard to minimise the shipping costs for our customers but we have no control over import taxes/duties and so cannot be held responsible for any charges incurred when shipping items outside of the United Kingdom.
How long does shipping take?
Royal Mail Special Delivery is guaranteed next day within the UK. International Signed For usually takes about 4 working days.
How are the items packaged and are deliveries insured?
Our watches are packaged in multiple layers of foam surrounded by a hard cardboard shell to minimise any risk of “in-transit” damage. We have found this is by far the best way of shipping valuable/delicate items. Due to the fragile/valuable nature of our watches we always ship via Royal Mail Special Delivery (International Signed for overseas orders) and all items are insured beyond their value.
What happens if I’m not happy with my purchase?
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply contact us within 3 days of delivery explaining the reason(s) and we will either resolve them for you or give you a full refund. Unfortunately postage charges cannot be refunded.
What kind of guarantee do you offer on your watches?
All of the watches sold through our website are guaranteed to be in perfect working order for a period of 3 months from the purchase date. If you do encounter any problems with a watch you can return it to us for service or repair at no additional cost to you. One caveat, due to the age of the watches we sell some might not be entirely accurate and this should not be interpreted as a fault. If you are looking for an accurate or watch for daily use then please ask and we shall suggest suitable items.
A note about water resistance & Vintage watches - we do not guarantee any of the watches we sell to be waterproof. As we mostly deal in Antique and Vintage watches there are many factors involved that can adversly affect this. Where originally a watch may have been waterproof when first sold, it is very unlikely that it could ever be guaranteed so when it is 20 or more years old. Moreso, many watches from the the 60's and 70's were sold as "Waterproof" or "Water Resistant" but were never reliable in this regard even when new.
