#51243 - Rolex Octagonal Oyster in 9ct Yellow Gold With Brown Louisiana Alligator Strap Year: 1935 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): £7.50 Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Rolex 9ct octagonal Oyster in very fine condition, beautifully restored dial and fitted with complementing Hirsch Louisiana Alligator strap with gold-filled buckle. Very rare piece. Case 9ct yellow gold case in very fine, original condition with no signs of repair to fixed lugs. both front bezel and rear cover screw down correctly and tightly. Original 'Oyster Patent' screw-down winding crown is also excellent with good threads on both case and crown itself. This is a full size version of this design and not a mid or boys-size. Case dimensions are 32mm in diameter (not including crown), 10mm thick and 38.5mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal The dial, as in very often the case on a Rolex of this vintage has been re-finished at some point in it's life (to the very highest standard as can be seen) and is now in flawless condition. The crystal is a standard Plexiglas/acrylic type and is brand new. Bracelet/Strap We have had Hirsch make a specially sized version of their Artisanal 'San Remo' for this watch as the fixed lug width is a non-standard 14mm. There is no taper on this strap as we felt it would look a little too 'light-weight' for the watch. Movement High quality 15 jewel, manual winding 'Prima' movement in very fine condition and keeping excellent (almost Chronometer) time. Full 12 months warranty. Enquire/Buy This Watch |
