#51050 - Rolex Oyster Perpetual 'Hooded' Bubbleback In 18ct/SS With Dark Brown Alligator Strap Year: 1946 Price: £3,295 Shipping (Within UK): £7.50 Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Gentleman's Rolex 18ct/SS Oyster Perpetual 'Hooded' Bubbleback in excellent, original condition with beautifully re-finished dial and custom hand made Hirsch 'Artisanal' dark brown Alligator strap. Case Stainless steel case with 18ct 'hoods' and smooth bezel is in wonderful, original condition (no repair work) - a very fine example. Rear cover has been replaced at some point as the reference number inside is 2940 whereas we know the model number of the watch should be 3065. This is a common occurrence however and the rear cover screws and unscrews perfectly. The toothed edge on the case back is excellent (as can be seen from images). Original yellow gold 'Rolex Oyster' winding crown. Case dimensions are 32mm in diameter (not including crown - 34mm including), 13.5mm thick and 38.5mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Original dial has been re-finished (by ourselves) and is now in flawless condition. It has large 'Dagger' applied hour markers with applied Rolex coronet underneath the 12 o'clock marker. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Officially Certified Chronometrer with "Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock. Original gold 'dagger' hands are in excellent condition and had their lume replaced when the dial was re-finished. Contrasting blued steel centre seconds hand. Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is brand new and free from scratches or marks. Bracelet/Strap Hirsch 'Artisanal' hand made Louisiana Alligator strap finished in dark brown. We have these straps custom made by Hirsch in Austria so we can fit a genuine Rolex 18ct buckle to the strap which complements the watch perfectly. Movement Automatic model 3065, signed Rolex movement in very fine condition. Has just been fully overhauled, running perfectly and keeping superb time. Full 12 months warranty.
